( Asos Velvet dress, Target vest, American apparel heart print tights, Banana clutch, vintage ring )
I met up with the amazingly stylish Hillary of FashionIndie for a charity fashion show a while back. Many of our friends were modeling thus it was only natural that we would go to show our support. It was really just another reason to dress up - these chances come very rarely when you're in Michigan. I absolutely adore Hillary's awesome faux fur vest, I've been searching for a great faux for such a long time now, but sadly - no luck.
I decided to bust out the dark lippie for the event, I've tried this shade a few times in broad daylight, but I don't think people here are ready for that yet. I'm wearing Cyber by MAC, I am so incredibly obsessed with it. I'm also insanely obsessed with heart dotted sheer tights - and when I saw this pair at AA, I had to get them.
I shall leave you with these amazing photos from Crash #50 of Skye Stracke:

Everyone will tell you that I have a thing for bright colors. Thus, you could only imagine my delight when I spotted bright splashes of cherry red, electric yellow, barbie pink, and lush cerulean all strewn across the fall runways.
That's right dear readers, color is no longer confined to the stuffy and humid months of June, July and August. No, color has decided that it would like to be apart of the rest of the year as well. So say goodbye to that charcoal grey military jacket of yours - and say hello to this Louis Vuitton overcoat in a yummy fire-engine red. Plus, the last thing we need in this economic crisis is to look dark and dreary for half the year. Remember and repeat: Color = Optimism!
For those of you, like me, who lack the funds to purchase such runway numbers, I'm sure that some time within the next four months you will find a lonely juicy apple green peacoat abandoned at a thrift store. After all, this is why they show fall collections in spring!

Here are my favorites from Paris fashion week! I love the Christian Dior collection - *drools* I would wear it all! I love the bright colors and chiffon *sighs* - I'm also adoring the skirts at Balenciaga - oh Nicolas, how you tempt me.
For some reason, I'm really taken away with the mint color at the Chanel show too - pastels for winter? That's a new concept - but I kinda like it!
I don't know why but there hasn't been much buzz about the Lanvin show - in my opinion it was one of the better shows in Paris.
I think I'll post some pictures from one of the photoshoots I styled for a magazine soon - stay tuned!
