ReplyDeleteOkay, Demarchelier is, without doubt, my all-time favorite photographer... and as this is a shoot for Vogue (UK), how could it get better?
I'll tell you how. It's themed with "Where the Wild Things Are," and the mixture of textures here is ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. And these models-- they've got LEGS. LEGS that go on for miles. I'm not a huge fan of the IKEA bag as hat, but the outdoor setting and the colors and textures... fearless and fierce.
Bisoux from Paris!

ReplyDeletehttp://iwantigot.geekigirl.com/2008/01/22/prada-spring-summer-2008-ad-campaign-with-sasha-pivovarova-by-steven-meisel/
ReplyDeleteI love sasha pivov's work, especially as the face of prada (6 years, right??) and also because it's steven meisel, and he's SO AMAZING.
I like this set of photos in particular, because the background is crazy and colorful, but you still always see sasha first. Also, you can see that she's primarily advertising the clothing rather than just aiming to look good, which is a model's job!!

ReplyDeleteMy favourite editorial EVER!! I think it is just so beautiful, and Alice in Wonderland is such an amazing story. I love this editorial because the world's most talented designers all made their own interpretation of the "Alice" dress. I don't see what's not to love about this editorial.
